Everyone knows that massive corporations end up paying far less in taxes then they really should, and indeed, most avoid “paying their fair share”. While this fact seems to be common knowledge, many people do not know exactly how companies manage to do this.

Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone face-off in London Mayoral Debate
Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone met on April 4 in a debate that would help decide the mayoral race in London. These men are no strangers to one another, with Mr. Johnson calling Mr. Livingstone a liar on more than one occasion leading up to the debate. The debate also included Jenny Jones, of the Green party, and Brian Paddick from the Liberal Democrat party.

Such measures usually involve the firing of public employees and reductions in spending on public services. British Prime Minister David Cameron is in the center of a public hailstorm of criticism because of plans to increase state surveillance powers. Authorities in the UK may receive increased permissions to trace public phone calls, emails and texts as well as other online activity. Many civil liberties activists are calling the new proposals a sign of an impending police state and feel it will infringe on the public’s privacy.
